After destruction revival did take place and Progress continued in art, literature, architecture, irrigation, Governance and other fields until the on set of the colonial period.The colonial occupation sniffled out all creative energies and since then a revival has not taken place in Muslim countries and the progress is spotty.  Investment on education, sanitation, public health and in supply of clean water is dismal in most..
